This policy applies to Solander, the macOS app sold through this website. Fourteen days, no reason needed: write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full.
Email hello@quietsignalslab.com from the address you bought with, within 14 days of your purchase. You do not have to explain why. Include your order or transaction number if you have it to hand — it is on the invoice Paddle sent you — but we can find the order from your email address alone.
You can also ask Paddle directly. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for the sale, and their buyer support handles refund requests at paddle.net — the same place your invoice and receipt live. Either route reaches the same outcome; write to us if you would rather deal with a person who knows the software.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA, Switzerland or the UK, Paddle’s customer portal also shows a withdrawal button for eligible transactions during the statutory 14-day withdrawal period. You can reach the portal from the link in your transaction confirmation email, or from paddle.net.
Refunds are processed by Paddle back to the payment method you used. It usually takes a few working days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
You do not have to buy anything to find out whether Solander works on your documents. Free mode has every detector and every language, and lets you open, review, redact, export and verify one document at a time, with no time limit and no account. A licence adds working on many documents at once, the exportable evidence, and automation.
We would rather you tested it on your own documents first than bought it and asked for the money back — which is why free mode has no clock on it.
What stops are the licensed features: working on more than one document at a time, the entity map across documents, exportable signed reports, reason codes, the redaction log, saved profiles, the command-line tool and watch folders.
How it happens: when Paddle tells us a purchase has been refunded or charged back, we mark it. Solander’s licence helper asks about the licence roughly once a week, and on the next check the licensed features stop. That is usually within a week of the refund, and within 30 days at most — a Mac that cannot reach us keeps working for 30 days after its last successful check, then pauses the licensed features on its own.
Your record of purchase is marked refunded, and we can no longer resend the licence to you or issue an offline activation code for it.
If your licensed features stop and you have not asked for a refund, that is a mistake and we want to hear about it: write to us and we will put it right.
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Because Solander is digital content supplied immediately, that right can lapse once supply has begun with your consent — but our policy above gives you the same 14 days regardless, so you do not need to rely on it. Nothing here limits any right you have by law.
